Korean BBQ Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

Steak

  • 2 Lb Skirt Steak
  • 1 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 Cup Asian Pear Chopped
  • 1 Cup White Onion Chopped
  • 5 Cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 Cup Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Sake

Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp Caramelized Onion
  • 2 Tbsp Kimchi, Chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Oil

Serving

  • 1 Head Boston Lettuce
  • Garnish Green Onions
  • Garnish Slices Toasted Seasame Seeds

Add soy sauce, asian pear, onion, garlic, sesame oil, sugar, sake in a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour over the skirt steak and let it marinade in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours or overnight.

After marinating, preheat your Current grill to 500F.

While the grill heats, combine all sauce ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Set aside.

Once the grill is ready, lay your marinated skirt steak on the grill and sear for 3-4 minutes.

Flip the steak and cook for about another 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 130F.

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Wash the Boston lettuce and break off the large leaves.

To assemble the wraps, top your lettuce leaf with steak and sauce and garnish with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds before wrapping it up and diving in.
